Drama by David Rockwell Book Cover

Tomorrow PR worked with Rockwell Group on the international launch of David Rockwell’s fourth book, DRAMA, published by Phaidon in April 2021.

Inspired by an early life rooted in the theatre, David Rockwell has long drawn on aspects of performance to frame and enhance his built work, which ranges from hotels and restaurants, theatres and museums, to set and exhibition design, and workplaces, playgrounds and academic buildings.

David Rockwell aims to create a story within any space he designs, evoking a sense of performance, showmanship and above all – Drama. DRAMA explores the principles at the core of David Rockwell’s practice, illustrated through a series of conversations between David Rockwell and impressive figures from a myriad of creative backgrounds, such as architect Daniel Libeskind, award-winning music producer and composer Quincy Jones, and museum director and curator Thelma Golden.

Tomorrow PR secured a multitude of press coverage on the book launch internationally, including pieces in The Good Life (Italy), IDEAT (China), Living Corriere della Sera (Italy), Design Week (UK), Wallpaper.com (UK), AW Architektur & Wohnen (Germany), and Design Anthology (Hong Kong).

In addition, Tomorrow PR worked with British author and broadcaster Damian Barr on a special Livestream of his Literary Salon to launch the book in the UK, which featured an in-depth conversation between David and Damian, which you can view here.
