The Wallpaper* Apartment

Last night I headed from the Tomorrow offices in East London to the altogether more polished streets of West London – Sloane Street to be precise – for an intimate reception to launch the Wallpaper* Apartment. This stunning pop up apartment, a collaboration with the Cadogan Estate, is in the newly renovated 155 Sloane Street, a collection of ten apartments. Curated by Wallpaper’s editors, the apartment showcases some of the best international design from both established and up and coming designers. My favourite pieces included T-Square shelf by Michael Anastassiades for Coedition in the study and the objects collection by the Danish design firm OeO for the Japanese brand Kaikado in the dining room. The Wallpaper* apartment is one of ten available to rent in the building. Alas the gorgeous furniture is not included but while the apartment is only open for a short time, Wallpaper* have also created a beautifully realised permanent reception area including a specially commissioned desk by London based Mathias Hahn as a lasting reminder of this great project.
