After ten years at its iconic Brompton Road showroom, Skandium is ready for new beginnings. We were invited to the opening of the first phase of their brand new concept store on Thurloe Place in South Kensington, a two-storey building that focuses on Scandinavian gifts, soft furnishings, lighting and home accessories— the first of two new Skandium sites due to open this year.
Directly opposite and opening in September during London Design Festival will be the new Skandium Townhouse, a four-storey building with room sets designed to inspire and show how their range of Scandinavian furniture and accessories would look in-situ.
With these two new sites, Skandium will continue to showcase the best of Scandinavian modernism in different forms— from furniture to textiles, toys and kitchenware— and will welcome our client Brdr. Krüger, a family-run brand with over 130 years of history that takes pride in their woodturning skills and craftsmanship, creating furniture and home accessories with an aesthetics of the mid-century Danish Modern movement, reinterpreted for a contemporary audience.
