Le Corbusier at Centre Pompidou

Le Corbusier at the Centre Pompidou

Le Corbusier is the undisputed genius of modern architecture and this excellent exhibition at the Centre Pompidou explores not just his beautiful architecture but also showcases his paintings, sculpture and furniture design. The extensive exhibition presents Le Corbusier’s contribution to 20th century architecture in a very engaging way with a reccurring focus on the human proportions, principles that became a cornerstone of his architectural vision. For me it was a revelation that Le Corbusier, the iconic architect, was also a very gifted painter and the show helped me understand the man behind some of my favourite architecture.
