Kul Copenhagen

While in Copenhagen this week to catch up with our new client Dinesen, I met with my good friend Bo Lindegaard, one half of the fantastic food duo I’m a Kombo. Bo took me to Kul, a fairly recent addition to the super hip Kødbyen area, aka the Meatpacking District of Copenhagen. It also just happens to be next door to I’m a Kombo’s shop cum café Nibble. Chef-owners Henrik Jyrk and Christian Mortensen focus on the art of the grill using a charcoal-fired Spanish Josper oven and Japanese yakitori to prepare all dishes. Kul has been designed by Space Copenhagen, the team behind the nearby Kødbyens Fiskebar (also delicious). The joy of having dinner with a chef is that all the ordering is done for you and I was treated to a succession of delicious, beautifully presented dishes. This is one place that I will be returning to each and every time I visit Copenhagen.
