2LG and The Pink House at House & Garden Festival

House & Garden Festival

The debut House & Garden Festival coincided with the magazine’s 70th anniversary celebrations and turned out to be the ultimate celebration of summer living and inspirational shopping. The four-day fair was packed with inspiring ideas and professional advice for interiors enthusiasts, while the Decorated Spaces room sets and the Style Rooms were a real honey pot of interiors inspiration. I was really impressed by the Style Rooms, an initiative that gathered some of the UK’s most prominent interiors and lifestyle bloggers, including 2LG Studio, The Pink House and Interior Style Hunter and challenged them to create an inspiring living space that expressed their style and would appeal to their blog audiences. Using only products available from the fair they were tasked with highlighting current interior trends or to creating new ones. I had the opportunity to chat with influencers Emily Murray from The Pink House and Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead from 2LG Studio. 2LG and Emily talked me through their designs and their approach to the brief was spot-on: Emily created a small living room designed to behave like a luxurious bar or members club, while Jordan and Russell focused on the practicality and different uses of the humble dining table. 2LG Studio also introduced me to their stunning Forest Hill Collection, a luxurious range of hand-printed wallpapers and linens created in collaboration with Custhom. I really enjoyed the H&G Festival and hope they do it again next year.
