For my last morning in San Francisco, I decided to check out FOG Design+Art Fair, a new winter modernism show presented in collaboration with the SFMOMA.
Staged at Fort Mason Centre, the Fair presented furniture, fine art, and design objects representing design movements from the last century to today. This new fair featured important 20th-century and contemporary design dealers from across the US including Friedman Benda, Gray Gallery and The Future Perfect.
The space also featured 21Pop: In The Kitchen, an installation by event designer Stanlee Gatti exploring the interaction of design and culinary art, including an area curated by June Taylor featuring a limited edition selection of her renowned flavoured syrups.
However, my favourite thing at Fog was Mini Lisitngs, an installation by Air BnB, which featured beautifully crafted models of some of their most iconic listings from around the world, including Tom Dixon’s Water Tower House in London. Very clever and very effective.
Fog Art+Design Fort Mason Centre San Francisco until 19th January.
