After a hectic day of meetings, I went in search of a coffee and a treat and found Fabrique, a gem of a Swedish Bakery tucked under Hoxton Overground Station.
Much of this white-tiled arch is taken up by the on-site bakery, which turns out some very tasty sourdough loaves baked onsite. The huge walnut bread boules and batons of rye are sold as whole or half loaves.
There are only a handful of small tables to sit at but with its calm ambience and friendly staff, Fabrique is a relaxing place to enjoy coffee from Swedish coffee roasters Johan & Nyström. But what really sets Fabrique apart is its delicious Swedish cinnamon buns – the best I have tasted outside of Stockholm. I noticed they also make cardamom buns so I think I will have to go back soon to give them a try!
