Scholten & Baijings chair for Moustache Design Museum

Designs of the Year at the Design Museum

This week the team headed to the Design Museum for the opening reception of Designs of the Year. Now in its eighth year, Designs of the Year is a celebration design in all of its disciplines including architecture, digital, fashion, product, graphics, and transport. This year new design magazine Modern Design Review, Frank Gehry’s Fondation Louis Vuitton building and Konstantin Grcic‘s Man Machine furniture are among the 76 nominated projects. A winner from each category and an overall winner will be announced later this year. Our personal favourites are Markthal in Rotterdam, the covered food market and housing development shaped like a giant arch by Dutch architects MVRDV and year a fantastic woven chair by Scholten & Baijings for the new French furniture company Moustache.
