Chef’s Club New York

Last week I was incredibly lucky to get a sneak peek at the soon-to-open Chef’s Club restaurant during the opening party for the New York City Wine & Food Festival. Located on the ground floor of the iconic Puck Building in SoHo, the space has been designed by our client Rockwell Group to break down the boundaries between the diner and chef. Many restaurants make this claim but at Chefs Club one does truly feel like a part of the culinary action, which is fitting as Food & Wine magazine will select their roster of guest chefs. The concept is designed to give chefs who may never have a permanent restaurant in New York a chance bring their talents to the city and first up will be Gabriel Rucker of Le Pigeon in Portland. A series of installations curated by design impresario Murray Moss will also offer insight into the mind of the chef. The 1,300 pound shard of Himalayan rock salt currently on view certainly had everyone talking!
