About Neil Byrne, founder & director

Neil Byrne has over 14 years experience in architecture, design and lifestyle PR. For over 10 years Neil was a director at Camron, one of the world’s most respected design PR Agencies. Neil possesses an unrivalled international media network and is able to connect with international design and lifestyle media at the highest level and has worked with many of the worlds leading design brands including: Bisazza, Tumi, 3M, Sony and Swarovski.

In the architectural arena, Neil has worked on projects by Kengo Kuma, Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners, Renzo Piano and Zaha Hadid and has also worked with some of the world’s leading designers including Barber Osgerby, Jaime Hayon, Tord Boontje, Studio Job, Andrée Putman and Yves Behar.

Neil has planned and implemented the international PR for a series of projects for Swarovski including Digital Crystal at the Design Museum, London, the launch of Prima by Zaha Hadid at the Vitra Campus (Germany) during Art Basel 2013, God is in the Details, an initiative with the Victoria & Albert Museum for LDF 2013 and Swarovski’s annual design commissions for Design Miami/ in 2012 and 2013. Neil has worked on design and architectural projects all over the world including the launch of Nurai, a residential island resort off the Coast of Abu Dhabi for property group Zaya, the launch of Kanyon Istanbul for the Eczacıbaşı Group and the launch of Z58, a flagship building in Shanghai designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma for Chinese company Zhongtai Lighting Group.

Neil has also masterminded the launch of many new design projects at the Salone del Mobile in Milan including Meta by Mallett (2008) Sony x Barber Osgerby (2009) and the launch of the Dror for Tumi collection (2012) and the launch of J. HILL’s Standard (2014). Other recent projects include the Global launch of the MP01 mobile phone designed by Jasper Morrison for Punkt. Past projects include the launch of hand crafted Aesir Mobile phone designed by Yves Behar that saw Neil partner Aesir with Wallpaper* magazine in a series of world-class dinners in London, New York, Moscow and Hong Kong; the international launch of Japan Handmade a collaboration between the Danish design studio OeO and Kyoto crafts companies and the launch of Jazz a concept super yacht designed by Zaha Hadid for German Shipbuilder Blohm+Voss. In 2013 Neil also launched Downtown Design, a new Design Fair for the Middle East.

Neil lives in East London with his partner, the fashion Designer Eudon Choi, and their dog Barney.

About Jennifer Wheeldon, associate director

Jennifer has over eight years communications experience in the design, luxury and lifestyle sectors and has an extensive network of UK and international media contacts.

Jennifer has worked for clients including Danish textile brand, Kvadrat, the design led San-Francisco tech company, Jawbone, American furniture manufacturer, Herman Miller as well the Istanbul Design Biennial and Swarovski Crystal Palace.

Jennifer has spearheaded many successful PR campaigns including the launch of the Kvadrat/Raf Simons collection, The Conran Shop’s RED exhibition for London Design Festival and the opening of Electra House, Lee Broom’s dedicated retail space in London.

Jennifer was also the PR Manager for British design company Established & Sons, heading up international campaigns in 2010 for the Salone del Mobile, Milan and the Venice Architecture Biennale, working closely with a roster of global design talent.

About Grainne Byrne, account director

Grainne is a senior PR and communications professional with more than a decade of experience working with high-profile private and public sector brands, and covering a multitude of sectors from tech to travel, to food and drink and public services.

Grainne has worked in consumer PR and communications for leading global brands such as Expedia, Unilever, Bioglan Superfoods and Vita Coco Coconut Oil.

She has worked in B2B PR for leading tech and finch firms, including The Hackett Group, TVSquared, Celerity IS, Receipt Bank and REL Consultancy, and delivered public sector projects for the Scottish Ombudsman, Keep Scotland Beautiful and Scottish Government.

She achieves influence and impact through considered integrated communications activities and campaigns, consistently delivering credible national, multi-channel media coverage. Her strong background in journalism and social media have lead her to oversee the successful development and implementation of numerous communications strategies, digital platforms and campaigns.

About Chu Goldmann, press officer

Chu is passionate about interiors, design and contemporary craft. She draws on a wide range of talents and diverse backgrounds, including production, graphic design, and props & interior styling. She completed her Foundation Studies in Art and Design at the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas and studied Technical Drawing for Film and TV at the London Film School before achieving a degree in Interior Design at Chelsea College of Art & Design in 2013.

Chu’s attention to detail and methodical yet creative approach have led her to work on high-profile editorial and commercial photography, films, exhibitions, events, retail installations and design environments for Wallpaper* magazine, Elle Decoration, Harrods, Liberty, Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Patek Phillipe, Stepevi, Black Edition, Sofitel, House of Fraser and more.
