24 Hours Of Happy – Pharrell Williams

Pharrell Williams originally recorded Happy for the soundtrack of the animated film Despicable Me 2. He has now taken the catchy upbeat tune and created the world’s first 24-hour video. Filmed in LA using just one Steadicam, the video, stars Pharrell and a diverse cast of 400 people dancing along to the song. When you log onto the interactive microsite, it automatically starts playing the portion of the film that corresponds to the time where you are but you can also skip forwards and backwards to find your favourite contribution or select the bits where Pharrell performs. You can also share your favourite moments on both Facebook and Twitter. The film starts with Pharrell dancing and singing in a restaurant and then heads out onto the streets of Los Angeles. Pharrell performs the song 24 times with 14 other performances each hour. Created by the Paris based directors We Are From L.A. the film is very addictive and I have found myself returning to it several times since I first discovered it. I am not sure I could sit through the whole 24 hours though!
